Before returning to the Boston area in 2008, Phyllis F. Schlesinger was Senior Lecturer in Management and Human Resources at Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. As Director of the Fisher Leadership and Team Development initiative, she collaborated with faculty and business executives to bring more leadership development activities into the MBA curriculum. She taught MBA courses entitled Teams and Leaders in High Performing Organizations and Power and Influence. She also was involved in the design and delivery of Fisher College Executive Education programs in Leadership, Organizational Change, and Six Sigma Training.
Between 1986 and 2001, she was a member of the Babson faculty. At Babson she taught courses in Organizational Behavior and Organizational Design and Change. She was actively involved in the Graduate Decision Making Body, the Graduate Excel Team, and in the design and delivery of the integrated MBA curriculum. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she served as Faculty Coordinator of the One–Year MBA Program, the Evening MBA Program, and MBA Module 1– Creative Management in Dynamic Organizations.
Phyllis holds an Ed.D. in Systems Development and Adaptation from Boston University, an MST in Biology from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University.
She is married to Leonard A. Schlesinger, President of Babson College. They have three daughters.
