Past Presidents
Five of Babson’s past presidents attended the inauguration ceremony—Ralph Z. Sorenson H'85, William R. Dill H'91, William F. Glavin H'99, Leo I. Higdon Jr. H'07, and Brian M. Barefoot '66, P'01—attesting to their ongoing commitment to Babson. The photos below reflect their participation in many of the related inauguration activities, including the dedication of the Ralph Z. Sorenson Commons at the Babson Executive Conference Center, the Hall of Fame Dinner, and the Inauguration Symposium.
Their presence also created a unique opportunity to engage four of them in a videotaped conversation (see below). This interview, conducted by Mary Rose, vice president for administration and chief information officer, provides insight into the entrepreneurial milestones and challenges faced during each of their tenures as president, as well as their advice for Babson’s newest president, Len Schlesinger.
